About this campaign
Honey selected me through the “cat distribution system” and showed up on my front porch one May evening. She purred against my leg and pawed my door to let her in. I then took her in to get vaccinated and make sure she was no one’s cat, and was able to adopt her. I loved her so much that I adopted her best friend, who is also a cat, Pepper.
Honey has corneal rupture, herpesvirus in the eyes, descemetocele, and conjunctivitis in both eyes. Her right eye ruptured, causing her to go blind, whereas her other eye has an ulcer that I would love to graft and save.
Honey is the sweetest cat you’d ever meet. She is constantly the center of attention when guests come over. She is the most cuddly girl and is so grateful to have been saved off the streets.
I am a low income teacher through the Archdiocese of St Louis who makes 1,000 every two weeks. I have student loans from my bachelors and masters. I am also saving for my wedding coming up in June. I don’t want to give up on Honey and am out of options financially.
