About this campaign

My baby girl Hope was given to me as a gift for Christmas in 2017. It was a huge surprised. I had to put my other Great Dane down a few months prior. So my family got together as a whole to give me the greatest gift anyone could ask for. My son at the time was only 2. Watching Hope and him grow up together has been the most beautiful relationship. I hold Hope very close to my heart.

Hope is one of the most sweet, loving, goofy, loyal and protective dog I have ever seen. I am a single mother with multiple chronic illness and having her by my side has made life that much better. I am always joking around that she is my emotional support dog. She is attached to my hip. When I go to the bathroom Hope has to follow right behind me.

Oh my Hope is the funniest girl! Every morning she has to make her rounds and give everyone good morning kisses. Even her baby brother Oliver, who is a cat. She is the ultimate beggar and if she doesn’t get her way she makes it very known verbally. She reminds me of a teenager who talks back to their parents. Hope doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. She is the gentlest giant!

Unexpectedly Hope got up from napping and proceeded to try and throw up. She collapsed on the ground and I knew instantly she had the dreaded bloat. We rushed her to our veterinarian and she was diagnosed with GDV and needed emergency surgery or she would pass away.

I am a single mom with Lupus, RA, Fibromyalgia, Sjögren’s and Raynunds. I am currently unable to work and am doing my best to bring my girl home. I am not ready to say goodbye and I feel like she has many more healthy years to live out. To give people laughs and kisses.
