Hope is a 5 year old Golden Retriever in Laguna Niguel , CA, who needs $3,000 for Suspected Enterocolitis of Uncertain Pathogenesis.

Working at a Vet that works with the GRCGLA rescue. While checking on a boarding patient I walked by a new intake, skin & bones, terrified, eyes closed tight, shivering in the corner “Hope-ing” to disappear. Her ppwk read surrendered with her 5 male puppies bc “she’s stupid, weird & won’t bond with anyone.” Broke my heart. I decided to foster her THAT DAY. Well, I failed. Hope is home, May 2024

Hope is experiencing severe GI upset/unknown cause. Began 4 days ago seemed to improve & then got very severe post ER visit very fast. Shes having uncontrollable diarrhea it’s leaking out while she lays, she’s foaming at the mouth. I’ve done X-rays/labs/testing. She’s currently hospitalized & may need to transfer for overnight facility for monitoring. This where I need help.

All my dogs have been rescues but Hopes special bc, she didn’t know love or a family until us. She was used for breeding, yelled at, kept in a kennel. No walks. Just out in the yard to potty. Her previous owners list she ran through cactus to “get away” from them as the reason she’s “stupid.” I want her to feel better, to fight whatever this is. To run on the beach again & swim & play ball.

I do not have an emergency fund. She isn’t on insurance & of course bc she’s been seen for GI issues in the past they’d likely be considered pre-existing BUT she is getting insurance
