I got Rumpole from my mom when she got ill and could not take care of him anymore. My mom lives in Florida and drove there to help her. She was so upset that the dog was to be given away, I said I'll take him home to make her happy. First I was going to give him away, but got too attached to him! That was three years ago. He just stole my heart.

It is only myself and my wife that live at home. My daughter and son has longed moved out. So when I come home from work, he us always there to greet me. It is nice to have someone at home to greet you. My wife works late, but when she pulls up in the drive he is alert to meet and greet her. He us spoiled. He sleeps on the couch and uses all the pillows as his bed.

We've spent money trying to fix his diabetes, he requires ACTH testing and had been doing this for the last 6 months, every visit is about $267.78. I cannot take him every other week for the testing, but he needs this test to figure out the amount of insulin to give him.

Rumpole was diagnosed with diabetes in December 2019. I have been giving insulin shots twice a day. Just can't keep him sugar level low. He is taking additional medication to help and I have to get Cortrosyn (ACTH) test done constantly to figure out the correct dosage of insulin. We're just not getting there to be able to give the correct dosage. The vet is Dr. Kendall at My Pet Veterinary.

Rumpole is special due to his loving devotion to the family. He loves his walks, twice a day (one before I go to work and one after work). He is very protective when he sees other dogs, no matter what the size! But he loves humans. When someone ask if they can pet, he'll go up to them, way his tail and lets them pet him.
