About this campaign
Howl is our 2-year-old Sphynx who came into our lives after my daughter’s father passed away. We rescued him during a time of overwhelming grief, and he quickly became a source of healing and light. We recently moved across the country, and through it all, Howl has remained our constant — a quiet, warm presence during so much change.
Howl was seen twice at Allied Emergency Vet in Eau Claire for ongoing vomiting. He received bloodwork, X-rays, and two ultrasounds. While most tests looked normal, X-ray visibility was a concern, and his abdomen showed inflammation. Vets now recommend a specialist ultrasound and potential surgery to remove a possible foreign body at UW Vet Care in Madison.
Howl is more than a cat — he’s our grief companion, our emotional support, and part of our healing. He’s my heart. He rides on my shoulder like a little guardian and curls up beside my daughter when the world feels too heavy. His love is intuitive and his presence irreplaceable. We can’t imagine life without him.
After a cross-country move with my kids and other pets, we’re financially exhausted. I can’t afford the urgent care Howl needs. Saving him would mean saving a source of love, comfort, and connection to someone we lost. It would mean everything to all of us.
