About this campaign

Hugo went from being a spunky, energetic Frenchie to writhing in pain and partially paralyzed.

Hugo's human mom adopted him from the Western West Virginia Animal Rescue Alliance (WWVARA) -- where she is a staff member and spends each day helping animals in need.

She raced him to the shelter's veterinarian for medical care. X-rays showed Hugo had injured and ruptured several discs in his back.

Hugo was immediately transferred to a neurologist at Med Vet -- who determined immediate surgery is the only hope Hugo has to walk again.
But now, Hugo's mom, an incredible animal rescuer, is the one who needs help. She can't afford Hugo's life-changing surgery and faces the difficult decision of economic euthanasia and letting Hugo go.

"She dedicates her life to animals and rescued this little guy herself. We could not let that happen," says Courtney C. from WWVARA.

WWVARA is helping Hugo and his human mom, but they need YOUR generosity to help pay for his surgery.

Please help Hugo!
