About this campaign
Hunter was rescued from the Charles County Animal Shelter in May 2023. Not much was known about him except that he was a young boy and seemed to get along with dogs and kids. He quickly adapted to living in a home with an older GSD brother and 3 children! Hunter enjoys being outside especially sunbathing on the deck. He is also a big fan of food and attention.
Hunter enjoys any and all outdoor activities! He is very happy to go along with any plan. He always seems to be smiling! He does great in the car so he makes for a good travel companion. He is young enough to keep up with the kids energy and he really loves playing with them outside or just following them around. He also loves to relax and is a great cuddler. He will lay in my lap to enjoy pets!
We didn’t know what exactly to expect when bringing Hunter home since we had no idea what his background was! He is so clumsy which always makes us laugh. Think of a puppy tripping over its too big paws- that’s Hunter. He has no idea how big he is which leads to him constantly running into furniture, wall, etc. He is always in a goofy and happy mood!
Hunter started having tummy troubles at the end of January 2024. Our older dog also was having issues so we believed it had to be food related or illness. However Hunter got worse and not better and we took him in to the vet 2/28/24 - Muddy Creek Animal Hospital - Dr. Talbott. After a series of tests it was discovered he had a blockage in his small intestine due to ingesting a foreign object.
This was a very unexpected expense for us as we are in the process of moving out of state. We also have 3 young daughters and another dog to care for. It would mean so much to not feel like we are drowning with the unexpected expense.
