But it was all worth it when I met Hyak. We have had a bond from day one and have been family for 6 years now, She was 2 when I met her for the first time and I knew right away we would spend many happy years together. She had been through months of training before we met and I traveled to Anacortes, Washington to Summit Assistance Dogs to train with her before she was able to come home with me to her forever home. She helps me with my day to day tasks such as taking off my socks, picking up things I've dropped and closing the door behind us. She is always by my side and goes everywhere with me from shopping trips to Doc. appointments and volunteering at Intendant living services center .
