Ika is a 12-year-old German Shepherd in Hagerstown, MD, who needs $1,181 for Teeth Extraction and Mass Removal.

Our lovely Ika came into our lives via a German Shepherd Breeder. Something told me to go their site, so I did. We found Ika who was going to be retired as a breeding dog and was being given away to a forever home! We fell in love with her and brought home to live out her adult days in a loving home.

When we brought Ika home it was all new to her, living in a household that is. She was used to the kennel life and making puppies , she was not really familiar with living in house with a family. When we first got her we were still in an apartment and she looked at steps like "what are those"? She attached herself to my wife and follows her every where and I mean every where!

My wife is disabled and and we are a one salary household. We have been able to come with a little less than half and may only be able to do one of the procedures but both are needed. My wife and Ika rely on one another for company since I am the only one working.

Even though we have brushed her teeth and given her toys to help with cleaning them she has a infected tooth or teeth that need to be extracted she also has some growths(mammary tumors) on her undercarriage that may or not be cancerous. They need to be removed because if they get too big they could effect her walking. Doing both procedures together is better since she is older at 12 years old

Ika loves to follow mommy around the house and does not know the meaning of personal space lol. She always does this happy dance when ever you grab her leash, even at 12 years old with a replaced hip and elbow, she will still hop around like a bucking bronco to show her joy that she knows we are going for a car ride. She also loves to go shopping in the refrigerator.
