My daughter & I went to meet Indigo where she was dropped off at a rescue coming from an Ensenada rescue. She stopped playing with other dogs & jumped into my arms & rested her head on my shoulder. We’ve been inseparable ever since & she goes everywhere I go - even to work with me at a boutique where she is the official greeter. She’s so chill & lures dogs/people alike inside with her cuteness.

Indigo has a ruptured ligament in her rear right knee causing her shin to lose connection with her thigh (similar to an ACL issue in humans). TPLO surgery reshapes shin to improve realignment with the thigh joint & the ligament efficiently stabilizes movement of the rejoined bones. It’s fairly urgent due to arthritis & meniscus tears.

Indigo loves all creatures, especially large male dogs (to climb on) & cats! We adopted a kitten for her for Christmas. They’re SO cute together, licking each other’s faces & lying together while kitty bats at her wagging tail. She SO animated like she’s actively chewing on something off the ground, more so when I question her only to find it was a piece of lint! Puzzle toys are her favorite.

It breaks my heart that I can’t fix her. I’ve always been self-sufficient as a single mom. Laid off from corporate job, savings were spent on bills/rent. We have part-time retail jobs. $1,000 paid in consults, x-ray, & bloodwork. Now shots due end of April, too.
