Ira is a 4 year old Beagle in Minneapolis, MN, who needs $2,000 for TPLO Surgery for Cruciate Ligament Tear.

Ira is our deeply loved beagle-ish mix-ish who came to us from Tennessee via Safe Hands Rescue about four awesome years ago. We were "just going to meet him" and of course now here we are. He lives with me and the twelve year old kiddo and Chuck the cat by a lovely little park with lots of humans and dogs for him to adore (and be adored by.)

At the beginning of June, Ira tore his cruciate ligament while running after a very sweet Burmese in the sand at the dog park. He needs ACL surgery so he can keep running, playing, and scrounging for snacks, pain-free, for what we hope is a long life to come. We are going through Mission Animal Hospital in MN who have a special rate for folks who need it.

Ira is cuddly, lovey, playful, hilarious, and stubborn. He is the cutest of all dogs. He loves hugs and kids, and does great with kids who need hugs from dogs. Last year, one of the first graders at the bus stop invited Ira to their bday party (the humans were not invited...) Ira also loves lying in the sun, standing in the water, eating trash, and sneaking under the blankets to snuggle.

Full time single parent working adjunct gigs = not $4k for Ira's surgery. This means a lot to the whole fam. Thanks for any and all help for our beloved!
