Iris, or Shnookie, came into my life during Covid! She became my emotional support and best friend while I graduated high school, then started college with me in Monterey Bay! When I got sick & needed to move home to get help, she gave me never ending cuddles while I battled my illness. We’ve been in Berkeley Monterey Santa Rosa & now Guerneville! She now has 3 crazy sisters and enjoys the forest.

Iris became super sick this morning and I quickly realized she needed help. I went to VEG Larkspur and discovered she swallowed a string and it had gotten stuck in her intestines. She needs a foreign body surgery to get it out safely.

She is sassy, typical tortie. She absolutely loves people and will cuddle all new people that visit. Her favorite part of the day is when her mom and dad get in bed and she can cuddle right in between them. She is the oldest of 4 kitties, who are so worried about her. She can sense when you are sad and gives you the most loving, yet suffocating cuddles until you physically can’t be sad anymore.

I am 21 years old working as a baker & struggling to make ends meet. Iris is my best friend & she has been my only constant the last few years. My world revolves around her. She gave me the strength to get better last year, now it’s my turn to take care of her.
