Isis is my 11-year-old pit bull and came into my life shortly after I lost my beloved dog, AJ, who I had for 12 years. She helped heal a piece of my heart that I thought was gone forever. She immediately bonded with my partner, and truly chose him as her person. She has spent the last 11 years as a cherished member of our family and is known throughout our neighborhood for her sweet, gentle nature

Over the past several months, Isis has developed multiple masses, increased thirst, increased urination with accidents in the house, difficulty getting around, and pitting edema in both hind legs. We urgently need diagnostics, including an exam, bloodwork, urinalysis, and evaluation of her masses, to determine the cause and provide treatment. My greatest concern is ensuring she is not suffering.

Isis has been my shadow, my comfort, and my family for 11 years. She welcomed my son into the world with incredible gentleness and has watched over him ever since. She is the dog who everyone knows because she loves everyone. Through grief, motherhood, and life’s hardest seasons, she has remained by my side. I never imagined loving another dog this deeply, but Isis has & still is part of my heart.
