About this campaign
We adopted Isley on New Year's Eve, 2022 from as a 4 month old young pup! I sought out Isley after my beloved GSD passed away suddenly and I was devastated. Isley brought me back to life after Koji's passing. It has been so scary to learn of her diagnosis and I am wanting to do anything and everything I can to get her healthy again.
Isley was a fan favorite at her daycare prior to having to go on crate rest and is the sweetest soul I've ever known. Even our cats love her! She's a bed hog, she's a cat herder, and you can find Isley in every corner of the house thanks to her snow white coat that is constantly shedding! Isley has a soft spot for her grandma who has been cooking her meals to keep her strength up during treatment
Isley is a true dramatic husky mix. As a neurodiverse household, her Dad and I often talk about her tendencies as a perfect fit for us because she does things on her own terms. Also, when she misses us and we come home, she has this happy face that is the light of our life. She's so attached to her momma that she also refuses to sleep anywhere quietly if it's not next to mom. That husky whining 🤪
Isley is being treated for Heartworm Disease at McCauley Animal Hospital by her amazing veterinarian Dr. Tori Siebert. She was diagnosed at her yearly check up, as we prioritize our 5 fur kids and their health probably more than our own. We have had her on prevention since we adopted her so it was explained to us that she likely contracted this prior to her adoption.
Both Isleys Dad and myself have had to reduce our work hours due to permanent physical disability recently and Isleys diagnosis of heartworm was so sudden that this is a major expense we were not expecting. Getting support financially would reduce so much stress for us!
