Ivan Asher is a 7-year-old Fox Faced Pomeranian in North Liberty, IA, who needs $2,000 for Internal Medicine Care for Emergency Care and Diagnostic Testing.

Ivan was adopted by me after being just two months old, and is the little brother to my other dog, Emory, a long haired chihuahua. He lives in a townhome, and is the brother from another litter to my sister's dog, Koda. He currently lives in Iowa, but misses Colorado for all of it's mountains for hiking and dog parks.

Ivan lives with myself, my dad and my other dog, Emory. He is the most hyper, playful, and energetic of us all. He loves to snuggle and give kisses at every opportunity. He likes to play with everyone and likes to comfort anyone who needs it. He also likes to guard the house. No matter what you're doing- making food, sitting, going out- Ivan wants to be a part of it.

Ivan is known as "the good time guy." Whenever he walks, he prances, because he's super happy and upbeat. From the moment he wakes up, he wants to run. He is extremely athletic- hiking, playing tug of war and ball. Ball is his favorite because he will run and likes to do jumps and flips 3-4 feet high into the air. He is a fast learner, and quickly picked up using word buttons to communicate.

Overnight, Ivan went from being an athletic, energetic, wild dog to being unable to walk, coughing, wheezing, struggling to breathe and refusing to eat. His muscles became stiff and rigid.
He has been in the ICU for three days, on oxygen, with a feeding tube and getting antibiotics through an IV. It is suspected he either has lepto, a fungal infection, pancreatitis or another infectious disease.

I just started working a week before Ivan was hospitalized, after job hunting for several months. Ivan will be in the ICU, getting several diagnostic tests, and emergency care to keep him alive, with the cost expected to be $6,000-$7,000.
