About this campaign

I found Ivy approximately 14 years ago abandoned along the side of the road. She was 6 months old at the time and had a broken leg. After bringing her food and water, her tail wagged like crazy and she jumped right into our car. She quickly acclamated to our home that was already full of cats! She has been the best goofball, cat buddy, and people companion, both indoors and in nature.

I noticed a growth on Ivy’s front left leg approximately 1 ½ years ago. The vet advised me to monitor it. Unfortunately, last week it burst open. The vet recommended a surgeon to remove it since Ivy cannot safely live with this open wound. Ivy is in good shape other than the growth. The leg is currently wrapped up and she is on antibiotics to hopefully prevent infection.

Ivy loves visiting with all people and excitedly runs to greet them. My kitties love sleeping while she curls up with them. She has been my buddy for so long. I am heartsick with the possibility of having to put her to sleep just because I cannot afford the cost of the surgery.

Sadly, I have no emergency funds and do not qualify for a loan. I am humbly requesting donations for the surgery so I do not have to put Ivy to sleep. I am dreading that outcome.
