Ivy is a 4 year old Maine Coon in Jersey City, NJ, who needs $3,521 for Acute Kidney Injury.

I adopted Ivy in 2024 into my home in which there are 2 brothers and a sister. She gets along with all of them, often sleeping in big cuddle puddles. I chose her name as I was inspired by Batman's Poison Ivy. We currently live in a 2 bedroom apartment in which she mainly loves to be lazy and lounge on my bed, though she can get zoomies from time to time.

Ivy stopped eating Tuesday evening and began to vomit. A friend was able to help us so we went to vet. They found that she has acute kidney injury but don't quite yet know the cause. They would like to do more diagnostic testing as well as life saving care as she still isn't interesting in eating and is consistently becoming dehydrated. The vet we took her to is Crown Veterinary Specialists in NJ.

Unlike the Poison Ivy mentioned earlier, mine cuddles with me every night, where she is always the little spoon. She is a purr machine who likes to yell if you aren't petting her. Whether it's on my lap or back, or anywhere in-between she loves being near me. Whilst she isn't too interesting in toys, she can be seen playing with one if her siblings are playing, especially the laser!

My partner is the breadwinner and his main funds are supplied by the VA, unfortunately the VA has not provided his necessary money this month so the only money we did bring in, went to rent. With the hardship loan declined, we are out of options.
