Izzy is a 1 year old Galah Cockatoo in Alpine, CA, who needs $2,000 for Diagnosis and Treatment.

I've only had Izzy for about a month and a half now. The moment I saw her I new there was something special about her. She came right out the cage to meet me and was the sweetest thing. I've interacted with birds before but very few have impacted me like she did. I literally had dreams about her for days after I met her and I knew I had to go back for her and bring her home.

Once I brought her home I set up a routine vet check up. She had some wobbliness in her gripping abilities and wanted to make sure she was ok. Upon her vet check up we found out that she has a heart arrhythmia and have been running test to figure out what is causing it so we can hopefully treat it and give her the full life she deserves.

Izzy is literally the most sweetest cuddle bug. She is surprisingly quiet for a Cockatoo and picks and chooses when she wants to chime in on the conversations. One of Izzy's favorite places is either on my chest on the couch watching t.v. with me or on my boyfriends shoulder while he walks around the house. I am hoping with time I can get Izzy harness trained so she can experience flight outdoors.

We have 3 other birds in my household that I take care of and my partner and I are on a fixed income. Izzy's sudden medical bills have already reached the thousands and we do not have the savings to support her, ourselves and our other feather babies.
