Izzy is a 16 year old American Shorthair in Fairfax, VA, who needs $2,000 for Radiology and Heart Tap.

We found Izzy at the county shelter when she was 9. She had been surrendered, adopted, ane re-surrendered 5 months prior to our meeting.

She had some trust issues, as you can imagine, but once she realized that we wouldn't give up on her, she warmed up to us and we fell into a very cuddly, supportive routine. She's always been my nurse kitty, snuggling with me when I've donated blood.

After gettin her through digestion and weight problems she became hyper-thyroid last year. Now she seems to have heart problems and has fluid on her lungs.

She was always a bit of a lone cat, but she loved to play with her people. She just started learning to play with her brother in the last 2 years. She loves basking in the sun on her balcony!

Due to her age, her pet insurance became so expensive we had to give it up to be able to afford regular vet visits. $500 a month for her and her brother or $2000 a year for normal check-ups and senior care.
