Izzy is a 12-year-old Aussie/Blue Heeler Mix in Huntington, IN, who needs $2,000 for Diagnosis and Treatment.

Izzy came to us through Craigslist 9 years ago. I don't know how old she is, I've had her for 9 years, so she's at least 10. She lives with us in our duplex, where we have an unfenced yard, another dog, and 2 cats.

Izzy has always been a "grumpy old lady", and very talkative (and barky!) She likes to play with our other dog Zoey, and she pretty much ignores the cats. Walks are her favorite! Whether it's hiking when we go camping, or just a walk around the block, she's up for all of it. And car rides - ask her if she wants to go and she'll run straight to the car! She's always been my daughter's protector.

Izzy loves to lay belly up, with all 4 legs spread out in the air, and just stare at me. I probably have 500+ pics of her doing it because it still makes me laugh! She's a big talker (whining, barking, growly), so it's like living with another teenager lol. She's older now, so less energetic, and she struggles to keep up on longer walks these days, but she still tries her best!

About a month ago, I took her to the vet for losing her balance and tilting her head. They checked her ears, found no infection, and said it was probably old dog vestibular disease. She's had recurrent and more frequent episodes since then, but yesterday she was really bad. She looked drunk walking around and was stumbling and falling. Today, she won't (can't?) get up. Local vet is Huntington Vet.

I'm so scared to lose her. She's been with us 9 years, and she's my daughter's first dog. It would be devastating for us to lose her, but I can't afford the emergency vet and possibly not the regular vet, depending on what they find.
