Izzy is a 3-year-old Pitbull/Lab Mix in Orlando, FL, who needs $1,500 for Heartworm Care.

Izzy is such a sweet girl she’s 3 yrs old, I rescued her from a home that could no longer care for her. I remember seeing her photo and being instantly in love. I remember planning to drive almost 2 hours to pick her up. I knew she had to be mine. I always here the phrase “my dog saved me” I’ve had dogs in the past but they were family dogs. Izzy truly saved me! An animal in your 20s is wonderful

She is such an outgoing dog. she loves to go running and go on long walks. she always loves sitting out on the balcony, basking in the sun. she by far is the biggest couch pillow you will ever meet. She loves playing with her siblings. we’ve got 3 cats, who she’s in love with! she is a cuddle bug and loves taking up personal space but she’s got such a funny personality!

Izzy is such a calm dog, she just cuddles and gives me so much affection.. whenever i’m having a hard day she knows, she’ll lay her head on my thigh and look up at me with the eyes as if she’s begging for me to tell her what’s wrong. i talk to her as if she was gonna respond back. she’s my best friend and life without her would be unbearable.

A couple months back i found out that izzy had heart worms.. as for those who know what is, it’s very deadly. i’ve been working 2 jobs endless hours to try and create enough money to cover treatment but unfortunately the cost is alittle over $1000 and as a freshly 21 year old living on my own. it’s been quite different in this economy to make enough money to get izzy help and a roof over our head.

I have 2 minimum paying jobs. being able to get izzy the help she needs and go to sleep knowing i won’t wake up with her not waking up would mean the world to me. i’ve never done anything like this so i wanna give it a shot.
