About this campaign
Jack was adopted from our local pet store on Halloween 2022. He was only about 4 months old and he is now almost 2 years old. I am in school as a full-time student and am also job hunting, but we do the best we can for our family and we love our babies.
A few days ago, I noticed that Jack seemed to be very sleepy. He stopped eating, drinking, and pooping and for 2 days he did nothing but sleep. He started losing weight so we rushed him to the hospital yesterday. The vet said he most likely has a blockage in his gut, which can be fatal in ferrets. He is at Robinson 24-Hour Veterinary Hospital in Fernandina Beach, Florida.
Jack is the funniest animal that I've ever met. We have cats and he loves to chase them around and he actually wrestles with one of them. My daughter is his favorite human and she loves him so much. He likes to hide shoes under couches and stick his nose into cups. His favorite things to play with are his chewtoy bouncy balls, clothes, shoes, and my daughter's stuffies!
My husband and I are low-income and we live on his income working for Uber Eats and DoorDash to pay whatever bills we have leftover after I pay them with my student aid from school. We are in a horrible position and all of us have been missing our baby so much.
