Jade is a 3 Year Old Labrador Retriever in Clayton, WI, Who Needs $2,000 for X-ray, Medications, and 24-48hr Stay.

Jade came to me through the Patriot k9s of Wisconsin organization. They match dogs with veterans and we get taught along with the instructors on house to train our dogs to be service dogs. Jade and I graduated from the service dog course in August 2025

Jade has been a very healthy girl up until yesterday when she ingested 2 “hot hands” hand warmers. I called the pet poison control line and they confirmed they were incredibly toxic. I brought Jade down to the Animal emergency and referral center on oakdale. After an exam and xray, it was decided she would say a 24hr minimum to be monitored and given medication as needed.

Jade is my right hand. She helps alert me to many things such as migraines and panic attacks (before they hit) so I can take medication. She alerts me to nightmares and wakes me up. There’s any other tasks she is trained to help me with and I am eternally grateful for her in my life.
