Jagan’s life has been full of silent suffering—but now he finally has safety and love. When Stray Animal Foundation of India found him, this gentle street dog was struggling to survive with severely deformed legs.

We suspect he was once the victim of a terrible accident but, like so many street animals, he never received any veterinary care. His legs healed in the wrong way, leaving them permanently malformed and making it impossible for him to live a normal life on the streets.

Because of his condition, Jagan will remain in our sanctuary for life. Here, he is safe from hunger, neglect, and cruelty. He has a warm place to rest, daily meals, and caretakers who make sure he is loved. But his lifelong care comes with costs: food, medical attention, monthly preventives, special veterinary support for his unique needs, and the sanitation and hygiene that keep him healthy.

We are happy to share a small update this Thanksgiving! – Jagan is taking small strides each and every day in our sanctuary, although he still has a ways to go.

He will never fully recover or improve from his leg condition, but here, he finally has a place to call home—a safe, peaceful environment where he is cared for every single day.
