About this campaign
Jagger is the quirkiest and sweetest little dog. When we take him on walks people point and say, “Awe! He’s like a little lion!” Because of his haircut. He came into my life through my boyfriend. I had never seen another dog like him, and was a little hesitant when petting him at first, but he very quickly won me over and now I consider him the most darling-est of darlings.
Jagger literally spends 24/7 with us. When he cuddles next to me, I like to say, “Awe! He loves his mummiums”. Every night we ask him, “Do you want to go on the walkums?!” And he will scoot around with so much excitement that his front legs almost can’t keep up with his back. When he is on his walk he is basically the happiest creature you will ever see.
From research online, we expected the surgery to be approx $1500 to maybe $4,000. We were shocked at the total of just the surgery being $5356 to $6,695. We are currently on one income while I am searching for a remote job online, having lost my former job due to COVID.
To me, because Jagger is so small and energetic, he will always look like a puppy. Male dogs that are older and haven’t been neutered are more at risk for perennial hernias. This is a dangerous condition due to the risk of an organ misplacing into the hernia, which would lead to an instant emergency. He is going to be treated at the VCA In Oahu.
Jagger will wake me up in the morning sometimes by laying on my chest with a quick little grumpy, demanding yap. He will even impatiently tap me on the face with his tiny toothpick sized legs. I’ll ask if he wants “brekkie?” He will immediately jump off of me and hop around in an excited little circle. I sometimes feel annoyed because I just want to sleep a bit longer, but italways makes me laugh.
