About this campaign
We got Jagger at 9 weeks old; it was 109º in his original town. We brought him to his new home in the mountains and introduced him to his "sister"; the cat. A few chases around the kitchen & they settled in to an amiable relationship. We didn't name him Jagger, but the name suited him well, so we kept it. He has many nicknames, though: Jaggles, Sir Jagger, Pupples, Flupples (fluffy-pupples).
Jagger is a member of our family. But, I am his person. I am not sure why he 'chose' me but I am very honored. He plays with my two children, 'talks' to all of us, and communicates volumes through his big brown eyes and deep howls and yowls. If we take a trip or just go to the hardware store, he comes along. He brightens everyone's life.
Yes, I am his person, and he wants to be with me. On a trip to the hardware store, he was left in the shelled bed of the truck, tied up, rear glass locked. In the store, minutes later, there he was at my feet in the paint isle.
Sad he was left, he chewed through the leash, somehow unlocked the glass from inside the shell, jumped out, came in the hardware store & found me; chewed leash in tow.
I noticed a small lump behind Jagger's ear this summer. The vet thought it may be a fatty mass and advised I watch it. However, the lump kept growing. The vet aspirated and determined it contained mesenchymal cells. These cells are found in all cancerous tumors and some benign tumors. The vets and I decided the best course of action is to remove the lump and biopsy it. I hope it was caught early.
We have had challenges. My 8 year old child needed an emergency appendectomy. Then, my husband had a medical issue involving the ER. Our biggest was losing my struggling business due to the effects of COVID. We are not in the best financial situation.
