About this campaign
Jagger was never meant to return to life outside. A dedicated community trapper originally brought him in as part of a TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return) effort. But the moment she met him, it was clear something was different about Jagger. Instead of acting like a feral cat, he was incredibly sweet, friendly, and affectionate. He clearly belonged indoors where he could be safe and loved. Knowing he deserved more than a life on the streets, she reached out for help.
Adopt a Cat Foundation stepped in and welcomed Jagger into rescue so he could begin a new life as an indoor cat. But soon after arriving, it became clear that Jagger wasn’t feeling well. He developed a severe upper respiratory infection (URI) and has been extremely congested. His nose is so stuffed up that you can hear him struggling to breathe through it, and despite treatment, he hasn’t improved.
Jagger has already been on antibiotics for more than 20 days, but the infection is stubborn and isn’t responding the way veterinarians hoped. Because of this, Jagger now needs to return to the vet for further diagnostic testing to determine exactly what bacteria or viruses are present in his nasal passages. These tests will help the veterinary team identify the specific cause of the infection so they can choose the right medication and finally give Jagger relief. Without proper treatment, chronic respiratory infections can become long-term health issues for cats, causing constant congestion, discomfort, and difficulty breathing.
Despite feeling miserable, Jagger remains the same loving, gentle cat who first convinced his trapper that he deserved a better life.
Your donation will help cover:
• Follow-up veterinary exams
• Diagnostic testing to identify the infection
• Lab work to determine the bacteria or viruses present
• Targeted medications to treat the URI
• Ongoing care while Jagger recovers
Jagger was saved from a life outside because someone recognized how special he is. Now we want to make sure he can breathe comfortably and enjoy the healthy indoor life he deserves. Please consider donating to help Jagger get the answers and treatment he needs. Every contribution brings him closer to feeling better.
