Jake was a rescue kitty from APA. It was August 2021. My Babygirl died May 14, 2021. I was so lonely without a pet. I saw Jake and just fell in love. I have always been attracted to the black cats because they are the least to be adopted.

I found out in December 2023 that Jake had dental issues. He had surgery in December 2023. The cost was $1400.00. A dear friend paid for it. He is due a 2nd surgery. It will be close to the same amount. I can’t afford it. I am still paying payments to my friend.

Jake is my emotional support animal. He brings me much comfort. I really need him and he needs me. He greets me at the door. When I am upset or in pain he comforts me.

I had to take disability in 2010. I have various physical and mental diagnoses. After 36 years of working I could no longer work. I sunk into depression. I lost my home as well. And later I lost my car. I live in low cost housing.
