Jake came into our family at just 6 weeks old. He was a shelter dog in Sacramento, but was scheduled to be put down that evening (so young). He has become an important member of my family, my boy, my furbaby.
He endured so much in 12 years and I would do anything for him. He is my daughter’s sleep buddy.
Jake has been nicknamed, “KISSY MONSTER!”

Jake is the sweetest boy. He sleeps with my daughter every night. He loves to give everyone kisses.
He loves children, other dogs and cuddles.
Jake loves to look out the window or be outside watching the world. Even at 12 years old, he loves to smell flowers and just being alive.

Jake knows when you are sad. He immediately comes to cuddle and give kisses. He will smile at you and insist on scratches.
Jake hates to be alone, so he makes sure he is near someone. He looks at his family with love in his eyes.
Wherever he goes, he wants to make friends. He loves for anyone to acknowledge him, hoping that person will pet him.

Jake is suffering from a severe hematoma on his ear. This has been drained and pressure bandages placed 3 times. This also had 2 small punctures placed by the vet, but it did not work.
Jake is going in for emergency surgery tomorrow. The hope is that the Dr can stop the bleeding, place drains and suture the ear back together. If blood flow is too compromised to the skin, it will be amputated
