Jake is a 12-year-old Border Collie in Rensselaer, NY, who needs $600 for Skin Allergy Treatment.

My border collie, Jake, is 13 years old, and has developed some kind of skin allergy where is constantly is itching and licking his underbelly and hind legs. Loss of hair as well. I have been giving him Benadryl however, not working. I've been on disability and I do not have the money to take him to the vet. I feel so bad for him.

Jake is older, but still loves to run and play on certain days. I think he has developed arthritis and some days hard to come back into the house climbing up the four stairs on the porch. Jake is a big brother to Daisy, our 3 year old corgi.

Jake has been a fantastic dog over the years, and still is at the age of 13. He still smiles, but also has bad days where he just wants to sleep, and looks very sad

Jake has been healthy all these years, but in the last year and a half, haven't been able to take to vet because I haven't had the money. Now when you go for annual it's over $300 which they want all up front. He's older now, and has some sort of skin allergy. I usually take him to East Greenbush Animal hospital.

Again, I broke my back in December, went on disability which I didn't receive a check for over five weeks. I got three months behind in rent, car payment etc. Disability check only covered two items each month and partial rent. Jake really needs to see a vet.
