About this campaign

Jake pretty much adopted me . My boyfriend heard a faint meow thinking it was one of my other cats. It was Jake. Abandoned by his mom, he was too young to care for himself. I believe that between the time he was abandoned to when he found me, he was raised by raccoons. That was 3 yrs ago. It took 2 weeks to name him. It was his personality, tough on the outside, tender on the inside.

Jake is (was) an indoor/outdoor cat. He came home limping, no open wounds. But his leg didn't look right. He had a broken leg, in 2 places. Amputation was the best route. I had help paying for the surgery, but being young and spunky, after the surgery he kept getting out of his bandages and cone. Because of that, he exceeded the allotted amount. Funding for follow up is needed. @ B. Street Vet

I do have other cats, 10 yrs old. They accept him. But keep their friendship with him secret. They are only used to each other and don't want to cause jealousy amongst themselves. He keeps the youth in my cats alive. As well as me. I also believe he is still friends with the raccoons. I busted him bringing raccoon friends home to share his food.

I currently cannot work as I have osteoarthritis in both hands and my right hip. I'm waiting to be approved for aide. I've had my other cats from before birth (rescued their mom) to now. 10years. I refuse to leave them, as I am all they know. Same with Jake, he completes us.
