About this campaign

James was an unexpected surprise. I found him at Target in the gutter during Christmas time. He was freezing, starving, and scared. The only thing I had in my car to lure him out with was almonds. He was so hungry, he actually ate one! I wasn't planning on keeping him, but no one responded to my Facebook post (other than to say how cute he was), so here I am, the proud owner of James.

He is so sweet and loving. He will not leave my side. If I get up from the chair or the couch, he gets up. He follows me everywhere. We put our heads against one another's, and he just purrs and purrs. He has a best friend, Pancake, who you can see James lying on in one of the photos. They eat together ALL the time. If Pancake jumps up to get a bite to eat, James has to eat, too.

James has the absolute cutest face and personality! He sleeps a lot, but when he's awake, he is full of energy, skidding out and leaping across the floor. He's truly a blessing and makes me laugh all the time.

About a week ago, James started meowing in pain. Our veterinarian stated he had a urinary plug, so I paid $500 to empty his bladder. The vet said it can be fatal. James' case is very bad, especially for as young as he is. I was told this will continue for the rest of his life. He won't eat the Rx food and needs surgery, so this won't ever happen again.

I'm on disability with very limited income. I was working part-time, but I had a car accident and lost my job and my car. I used the last bit of money I had to empty his bladder, just for him to survive a while longer. Please help James. Donations go directly to the vet
