About this campaign

My Yorkshire terriers name is Jasmine she was given to my daughter as a gift for her 10th birthday. Jasmen was born March 22, 2010 and will soon be eight years old. She lives with myself and my daughter in Washington DC
My dog is such a people friendly pet and truly loves attention from anyone who wants to pet her.

Jasmine loves pet toys but she seems to chew through all of them, Which makes it impossible for me to give her anything because soon she completely destroys it and maybe swallowing pieces of plastic and or fibers. She is trained to use her puppy pads and she doesn’t pose a problem in the household with regard to furniture or shoes.

I became disabled in 2018 and I learned firsthand why dogs are referred to as man’s best friend. She seem to understand that I was unable to walk and spent a lot of time very close to me. She becomes extremely excited whenever someone visits my home. She loves playing with her toys and having them thrown for her to retrieve them.

Prior to the pandemic I took Jasmen to Dupont veterinarian clinic on P St., Northwest Washington DC because she had an eye infection. Because I am disabled at the time I had a very difficult time paying the bill for her visit and her prescription. In that same visit the doctor stated that Jasmine has periodontal disease and requires that she has her teeth cleaned. I was quoted $850

I am turning 60 years old and I currently don’t have any income but I don’t want my dog to suffer any health issues as a relates to her diagnosis of periodontal disease. I have contacted many different organizations. I pray that I am able to get her the help required.
