Jasper came into my life when I needed him the most. A friend of mine could no longer take care of him. It was fate! He’s been with me for 7 years and he is my best friend and companion. I’m 84 and live alone with no family near by. I have a loving neighbor who helps me every day with Jasper. I have three cats that are laid back and love to play. But I don’t know what I would do without Jasper.

Jasper goes every where I do, wherever I can carry him. He sleeps right up next to my head. He gets very excited when people come to visit us, he even barks to say hello and wags his tail. He can no longer use his hind legs because of a fall, but he can crawl around on the bed, floor and outside using his front paws. He loves interacting with the cats, myself and visitors.

Jasper doesn’t like the rain but isn’t afraid of thunder. His favorite treat is Rachel Rays Nutritious nutritious Burgers. He LOVES to talk and he and I talk a lot! We sit outside every morning and he loves to watch the birds. He barks at any animals on tv. I love it when he cuddles with me, which is almost all the time. And he always greets me at the door when I come home.

I’m trying to get Jasper a set of wheels so he can enjoy walking around outside again and get around in the house. He jumped down from the bed and dislocated two of the discs in his lower back. my neighbor comes over and takes him out to the bathroom using a belly band to support him. He walks well with that help. He’s being treated by the Humane Society of Delaware County. He’s on pain meds to

I’m elderly and on a fixed income. I grateful and fortunate that his veterinary care is paid for by a grant but, they can’t provide wheels for him. It would really make me happy to see him up and about again. Much happier again.
