Jax is a 11 year old Shih Tzu in Arlington Heights, IL, who needs $2,000 for Dental Cleaning & Pre-op Labs.

Here's our story. Jax came to us at the tender age of 6 weeks old. He's always been around his other sibling whom we sadly had to euthanize 2yrs ago. Our hearts were broken, and our bond became stronger. Jax is now 11yrs old and has been in good health up until a few weeks ago that we noticed he chipped a molar. We monitored his eating habits, and we didn't notice anything major.

A couple of days ago I noticed that he kept whining. We checked his mouth and noticed that the tooth he chipped was now loose. So, we took him in to see the vet over at Thrive Plus to see if he had an infection. Unfortunately they informed us that he needs a major dental cleaning which may require tooth extraction/s and the estimate continued to grow. All I could afford was the visit and pain med.

My Jax has been by my side during my 2 battles with cancer and I feel absolutely horrible that I cannot afford to have this done for him right away. He can't talk and let me know exactly what his pain level is. He's considered a senior but he's still our puppy. He's so smart and knows he's the cutest. He's so loving and adorable and brightens our day. He's my shadow and my companion. I love him!

I am on a fixed income which makes it difficult to pay for a surgery all at once. I'm hoping that you can donate a couple of dollars to help me pay for this. I want Jax to not be in pain :( I don't know what else to do. God bless you all !
