Jax is a 10-year-old Boxer in Leander, TX, who needs $1,000 for Mast Cell Tumor Removal.

We got Jax when he was 1 years old from a posting online, we are unaware of what happened during his first year of life but it has caused him to be skittish and very protective since we have had him. He is the sweetest guy and we have never had behavioral issues with him at home with our cats or children. He has been a tripod since 2020 and has really been living life normal since.

Jax is the biggest cuddle bug and loves to act like a lap dog. He enjoys lounging most of the day but occasionally if he is up for some excitement he runs and barks along the fence to taunt his neighbor. Jax is very protective of his family, so outings are limited since it stresses this old man out but at home, he loves our kids and doesn't mind the foster cats.

Jax is special to our family because of his little quirks. The way he always has a guilty look on his face, the side eye is hilarious. He has to be touching one of us at all times, whether its his head on your feet or he backs up to lean against us. Our favorite is his boxer wiggle, when he is excited he does a little side wiggle dance.

In March of 2023 our vet noticed two lumps, one on his front leg and one on a hind leg that she was concerned about and wants to have removed to test for cancer. In 2020 Jax had one of his front legs amputated due to a cancerous tumor growth, which is why our vet is concerned and wants to remove immediately to ensure quality of life and length of it.

My husband lost his job with a couple he was with for several years and since then he has been working any jobs he finds. He is a contract worker in warehouses so he bids on jobs week to week, sometimes he is working all week and sometimes its only a couple days a week.
