Jax is a 7-year-old Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog in Mesa, AZ, who needs $1,400 for surgery.

Jaxson has been with Me since he was a year old. He came to me at a time where I was still grieving from my last dog and wasn’t really sure if I was ready but as soon as I saw him my heart skipped a beat and I fell madly in love. He came from a situation where he went to hunting school and then he was tied to a tree and that was it the gentleman did not have enough time As he had a young son.

Jax is definitely a very special Member of our family and has Been a protector to all of us at different times he has especially saved me from many sticky situations with creepers and people who put my life in danger or threaten me. Given his background he does not do so well with cats and other house pets such as rats or lizards like my brother and sister in law I have had he loves his “sister.”

We have a baby on the way due august 12th and affording the doctors appointments and prenatal classes and vitamins and all that goes with it. We have already covered 2 grand and as it comes more things keep popping up and adding to the costs.

It was a good day, he is our shop dog, he is completely fenced in and occasionally the gate was left open which left him to wander but in this case the gate was closed his papa just left to the store and he was waiting patiently inside. Jax somehow managed to get out and within minutes was hit and ran just outside the shop. About three grand so far and awaiting surgery costing another five grand

His favorite friend ever was a great Dane who happened to be a male which is unique to him because he has always struggled with the same sex encounters due to his strong dominant nature. He has always had a much better time with females but yet his best friend was a big dopey male great Dane. He unfortunately passed away leaving Jax to form new friendships and he did so with a puppy I got later.
