Jax is a 5-month-old Great Dane in Warrensburg, MO, who needs $5,000 for heart surgery.

Jax is our Great Danes brother, we seen he needed a new home was needed for him and responded. We were told Jax has special needs, but it was more of a feeding issue. That wasn't a huge deal to us because ironically we have a son with feeding issues. We didn't know the severity of Jax's condition until after an extensive vet work up. Jax was then diagnosed with Persistent Right Aortic Arch, which is a fatal condition if not fixed. PRAA is a condition where a heart vessel wraps around the esophagus. Which doesn't allow it to grow with him and Great Danes grow rapidly. We blend up Jax's food like a think shake 3 times a day and monitor him eating . If Jax gets anything that is a solid or even soft dog food his goes into a fit of gagging and throwing up, which is horrible to watch. We try to monitor him at all times but he is a dog and does get into things. Jax means so much to our family and his brother. We can't bare to think that the fact we are in a hole financially could cost this pup his life. We have tried many angles of support and nothings is looking up for us.
