Jaxon is a 6-year-old Chihuahua in Fishers, IN, who needs $2,000 for orthopedic surgery.

Jaxon is a part of our family. We love him with all of our hearts. He is the most loving cuddly and protective dog I have ever met. He is so gentle and kind. He lives in a single level house and always sleeps with me. He is my baby and we have had him since he was tiny. He has moved from house to house, but with us he is always home.

Ayva, his mama, is his best friend in the world. The 2 of them are inseparable. Whenever she is sleeping he is always on guard to make sure no one bothers her. He is so playful and loves to play fetch. He is also so gentle with our new kittens. He has been all around the country with me and absolutely loves car rides.

With covid, my family has gone through job loss and pay cut at our new job. That required us all to dip into our 401Ks and emergency funds. We are now in a position where we dont have $3-5k available for use. We are working with low cost clinics as much as possible.

Jaxon is needing ortopedic surgery. He was sleeping on the top of our sofa and he was startled by the kitten and fell off. His entire front right paw is broken. (see x-rays). We took him to an emergency vet and he had sedation, x-rays, painkillers, muscle relaxers, and the gave him a temporary case. With the severity of the break we are looking at expensive surgery or amputation.

He is the only chihuahua I have ever liked. He is the best cuddle buddy in the world and will sleep as long as we do. He never leaves our side and has a big personality. Seeing him in pain is absolutely heart wrenching. He is so happy and loving and playful all of the time. He is genuinely the best dog we have ever had.
