About this campaign
Jaxson has been my best friend, constant companion, and, in every way that matters, my child for nearly 10 years. Because I can’t have children, our bond became even more profound. I adopted him as a puppy, and from that day on, we seemed to imprint on one another. We’ve been inseparable ever since, sharing a connection unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.
After weeks of weight loss and other concerning symptoms, my veterinarian discovered enlarged lymph nodes throughout Jaxson’s body, along with an enlarged liver and spleen. Cytology strongly indicates multicentric lymphoma, and we’re awaiting final pathology results. Jaxson has the gentlest soul. He’s always been my shadow, following me from room to room and somehow sensing exactly when I need him most. We seem to have imprinted on each other—we even share some of the same health struggles and routines. Because I can’t have children, Jaxson truly is my son. The love, comfort, and companionship he’s given me over the last decade are impossible to put into words
Jaxson’s diagnosis has been emotionally and financially overwhelming. I work full-time, but cancer diagnostics and treatment are far beyond what I can afford alone. My mom, who lives on disability with a very limited income, plans to temporarily move in to help care for him
