My Jaxson and I found each other December 14th 2014. He was 3 months old, wide eyed and appeared concerened as he probably wondered if I was fit to be his guardian. He was a gift that was meant to be my emotional support following the loss of my father. We supported each other. My single party home became a house of two once again. Jaxson is great companion and comfort for my mental state.

Jaxson had appeared depressed following a move from his home of 9 years. There was concern due to weight loss. However he never lost his appetite. He became used to his new home and walks in new neighborhood but the weight loss continued. After a vet visit I was informed he had Diabetes Ketoacidosis and required immediate hospitalization. He was taken to Veterinary Emergency Group in Tarrytown NY

When people meet Jaxson they never forget him. I often receive calls and text inquiring about his day. He makes everyone feel loved and seen. He’s joyful, even at 9yrs old he has a pups energy until his illness. He enjoys activities, fetch being his favorite followed closely by sniff and find. Most of all he loves group hugs. He’s a Knicks fan by choice it’s the only thing he will watch on TV.

I’ve provided what I can financial, unfortunately I’m on a fixed income due to disability. He has made progress and I believe a little more care, time my Jaxson can make a full recovery. Jaxson is fighting , please help him get the opportunity to recover and bring back joy.
