We found Jay on craigslist when we were looking at pets. My son saw how sad she looked and said we had to get her. Jay has been his best friend since they first met. We have 2 other dogs in the house. Jay has been with us since she was 6 weeks old and now she is 3 1/2yrs old. She used to love to play and go for long walks but this last year her legs have made her aggressive and in to much pain.

She only sleeps with my son! He actually refuses to go to bed without her. She loves to play fetch and thinks that a car ride is the best thing in the world. She is a firm believer in telling us exactly how she feels "loudly" and she has literally saved my sons life by alerting someone when he was very ill! Jay is a hero to us and my son wants her back to her self and not in pain!

We have 2 kids and even with both parents working, we have never been able to save for emergencies with rent so high and all of our other bills as well. We have cut every corner to start saving and her med. needs hit suddenly. She has saved my son now we want to save her.

We actually have Banfield medical for all of our dogs but with both or her back legs having torn ACL's that require a $7685.88 surgery. Her medical does not cover the specialist, and our credit is not high enough to get a loan. I'm working 2 jobs now, and all the money from my second job is for her surgery but it is still not enough. Her boy is her best friend, she gets so excited when he just walks into a room and she loves to talk to us all the time especially if we sit in her favorite spot on the couch. She used to love playing with her sisters and running in the park. She always makes us laugh when she does her Tasmanian devil act and runs from one end of the house to the other with her toy.
