About this campaign

Jazz is a "foster fail." I started fostering Jazz and her litter-mate, Harmony (Mini) when they were 11 weeks old. They were rescued from a feral cat colony in North Philly. Jazz was just two pounds and Mini (the runt of the litter) was only one pound. They got a false positive on their FeLV test and I had to keep them for 60 days until their next testing. By the time they got their next test result -- which was negative -- I had completely fallen in love with them and decided to keep them for good. As a kitten, Jazz was very friendly and loved to be held. But when she got to be about 6 months old, she became quite people-shy for no reason the vet or I could discern, while Mini continued to be very people-friendly. Now, the vet thinks that her current dental pain may have begun when her adult teeth came in at 6 months, leading her to become anxious and withdrawn. The vet is hopeful that, once this dental procedure is complete and Jazz isn't in pain anymore, she might become confident once again.
