About this campaign
Jazzy is a special young cat who has already overcome so much.
She arrived at a local shelter as a stray and, not long after, gave birth to her kittens there. Friends of Felines stepped in to help, moving Jazzy and her babies into a loving foster home where they could finally be safe. With care and stability, Jazzy devoted herself to raising her three kittens—and thanks to that support, every one of them has now found a home of their own.
But while Jazzy was busy being an incredible mom, she was quietly struggling herself.
For a long time, Jazzy has suffered from a recurring upper respiratory infection. Despite repeated treatments and ongoing care, her symptoms never fully resolved. After exhausting all other options, Jazzy was referred to an internal medicine specialist for further evaluation.
During that visit, veterinarians discovered the underlying cause of her ongoing illness: an intranasal polyp. This growth is affecting Jazzy’s ability to breathe comfortably, and without surgical removal, it could continue to grow and eventually block her airway.
Surgery is now necessary to give Jazzy relief and put her on the path to long-term health. Friends of Felines has already done so much for Jazzy—rescuing her from the shelter, providing foster care, medical treatment, and ensuring her kittens all found homes. Now, Jazzy needs help with this next critical step.
Please consider donating to help Jazzy receive the surgery she needs. Every contribution goes directly toward her veterinary care and brings her one step closer to breathing easily and living comfortably.
Jazzy gave everything she had to her kittens. Now it’s her turn to receive the care she deserves.
2/23/26 Update
Jazzy came through her surgery beautifully, and her polyp was successfully removed — a huge step forward in helping her breathe easier and feel better. After surgery, she was also diagnosed with rhinitis, which helps explain some of the lingering congestion she had been experiencing.
The good news? We now have a plan.
Jazzy has started treatment with an inhaler to help manage the inflammation and keep her airways comfortable. She’s adjusting wonderfully to her new routine, resting well, and showing us that same sweet, resilient personality we’ve all fallen in love with. Every day she seems brighter, more comfortable, and more like the happy girl she was meant to be.
While her surgery was a major milestone, her care doesn’t end here. Ongoing medications, follow-up visits, and monitoring are essential to ensure she continues to heal and breathe comfortably long-term.
If you’re able, please consider making a donation to help cover Jazzy’s continued medical expenses. Your support allows us to say “yes” to specialized procedures, necessary diagnostics, and the ongoing treatment that gives cats like Jazzy a real chance at a healthy future.
3/21/26 Update
We are thrilled to share a wonderful final update on sweet Jazzy! After everything she’s been through, Jazzy is now in her follow-up phase and doing very well. Since her surgery to remove the intranasal polyp, we’ve seen meaningful and lasting improvements in her health and comfort.
One of the most exciting milestones is that Jazzy has successfully come off antibiotics — for the first time since this entire journey began back in August 2025. This is a huge step forward and a sign that her body is finally healing the way we hoped.
Jazzy is currently being maintained on an inhaler twice daily to manage her rhinitis and keep her airways comfortable. She’s tolerating this routine beautifully and continues to show her sweet, resilient personality every day. She will also be following up with her internal medicine specialist next week to ensure everything continues to progress as expected.
Because of the success of her surgery and ongoing care, we are excited to share that Jazzy is now able to be marketed as an adoptable cat. After being such a devoted mom to her kittens and patiently working through her own medical challenges, she is finally ready to find a forever home of her own. We are incredibly grateful that we made the decision to move forward with surgery. It truly changed Jazzy’s life — allowing her to breathe easier, feel better, and look ahead to a bright, healthy future.
Thank you to everyone who supported Jazzy throughout her journey. Your generosity helped make her diagnosis, surgery, and follow-up care possible. Because of you, Jazzy has gone from struggling to breathe to thriving and ready for adoption. This is the happy ending we were hoping for — and Jazzy’s next chapter is just beginning.
