JD is a 8-year-old Chihuahua in Modesto, CA, who needs $2,000 for Periodontal Disease with Possibly Further Treatments.

I have never been a pet person never having any pets until around 2011. There was a very special dog named poe who became my best friend. He went with me everywhere. In early 2014 he was killed by a vicious dog. I tried to stop the attack while it was happening but unsuccessfully and my hand was mauled by dog in process.

After his death I did not want to ever share my life with another pet.

One day not long after poe died someone brought a little frail dog over that was being abused. My friend had this little dog and couple months later left him with me at my new place. They were suppose to come back for dog but never did. I then named him JD (john doe).
I found myself again sharing my life with another dog. JD became my new best friend. He had bad anxirty due to prior abuse.

This would cause him to tear up my carpet when i was gone. I then decided to adopt a pet from local shelter so JD would have a playmate. God led me to pick Babygirl (approx same age but mixed they looked like brother n sister).
Then my family grew to 3 (my kids were grown and living own lives now). We did everything together n everyone knows where Richard goes so does JD n Babygirl.

After my pets having pretty healthy lives n only Babygirl requiring serious medical attention (stones) i was blessed. I soon learned that I had brain cancer n not long after that possibility that one of my babies may share same medical issue.

One day JDs face n neck grew swollen. It was so huge n scared me. Luckily so far the tests have not revealed similar diagnosis but he wasnt clear yet.

With my medical complications causing severe financial complications i went from person always working n easily capable of handling any financial situation that could arise to not working n severely struggling financially. JDs medical bills have rose to over 2200
