Jellee was one of about 15 kittens outside in the cold rain at a trailer near my friend’s house. I spotted her because she was the only black and white “tuxedo” kitten. I brought her home that night and she has been a pure joyful! I have an older cat, Haystak, who needed a playmate. Jellee was a little spitfire from day one. She’s a bit skittish and not as loving as her fur brother.

One day I looked at Jellee and it looked like she “blew up” overnight. At the time she was eating cheap food so I thought it was all the calories. She loves to scratch on the wall. Lately I’ve noticed that she’s eating the paper that she has torn away from the sheet rock. Today she got into an ashtray and was licking the ash residue. I’d like to take her to Plaza Vet Hospital in Burlington NC.

Jellee’s a bit skittish and tries to bite me lately. She doesn’t welcome cuddles or kisses and only wants to be loved on her terms. I’m the only human she will interact with and hides from company. She fights a lot with my older cat but also cuddles with him. She’s been eating non food items which I hope is only pica.

I’m on a fixed income due to Stage 3 cancer. My cats are all I have and I just can’t afford a vet bill and I can’t afford to lose her neither. That would be devastating.
