About this campaign
Jelly was abandoned. It was clear she was suffering—and had been for some time.
By the time she was rescued, Jelly’s condition was heartbreaking. She was so weak, she couldn’t even muster the strength to stand. Her bones protrude from her fragile, frail body, which is also peppered with wounds. Wounds which, sadly, had become infected and infested—with live maggots burrowing into her skin.
Thankfully, Jelly is now safe with rescuers of Stray Animal Foundation of India. The maggots have now been removed, her wounds are being cleaned daily, and bloodwork has been sent-out for CBC, liver, and kidney function tests. And to avoid refeeding syndrome, she is also on a careful feeding plan to help her body adjust. But this kind of care doesn’t come easy—and it doesn’t come cheap.
Jelly’s road to recovery is just beginning. It will take time. It will take medical care. It will take resources and support far beyond just that of the rescue. Jelly needs a Village—and she deserves one too.
The goal is to raise $2,000 to help cover her diagnostics, ongoing treatment, and recovery care. Every ounce of support gets us one step closer to doing just that. ❤️
