About this campaign
Last year when there was a pandemic, I wanted a cat to keep me company. I knew I did not want a spirit cat but somehow that's what I got with Jenny and I'm glad I did because she is the best cat ever. I got Jenny from the Here Today Adopted Tomorrow in Brimfield, MA a year and a half ago. She is an elderly cat and we want her senior years to be as comfortable as possible.
Jenny is very independent. She does not like to be picked up but loves to be petted and brushed. She sleeps on the bed with me at night. She likes to play string games. She loves sitting in front of any door that she can look out for hours. As she is a spirit cat, loud noises both her and she runs away so we try to be quiet with her most of the time. She also likes to eat alone.
There are no other pets in this house. Jenny rules. She also loves her treats in the afternoon and her scratch pole. As I mentioned her idiosyncracies are the fact that she runs away from loud noises and strangers. She only likes us, her owners. When a new person enters the house, she runs to the basement and won't come back up till they are gone.
Recently I was told that Jenny has gingivitis and that she need a complete tooth extraction Of course I was concerned because humans can't chew without teeth but I was told that cats can. Since Jenny is an indoor cat, teeth extraction would not be a problem for her. Only outdoors cats need teeth to defend themselves. The vet treating her would be Second Chance in North Brookfield, Mass.
I am 78 years old and on social security. My husband who is 71 recently retired and is also on social security. We love Jenny very much and don't want her to eventually have an infection and be in pain.
