About this campaign
PLEASE help me save my service dog, Jericho.
My name is Matthew Smith and my service dog Jericho who helped save my life and now he needs MY help to save HIS Life. He has prostate cancer and I need help with the medical bills to pay for Radiation and Chemotherapy.
Jericho is a rescued Pit Bull Terrier who was pulled from a shelter by Animal Farm Foundation (They are unable to help with the meds).
I am in a wheelchair due to a motorcycle accident in 1994, and I needed help getting around, picking up things I drop (Jericho's favorite game), opening doors, etc. Jericho and I have been together for 8 years and have done so much. Not only do we both work a full-time job together, but he has also helped me live a more normal life.
Jericho is more then just a pet, he's what allow me to get around the world and live a fuller life than I did before I got him. He make me feel like eyes are on him and not me!
He is my best friend and I don't know how I can face the world without Jericho by my side.
For those of you that don't know Jericho, He is an American PitBull Terrier Service Dog who has a mass on this prostate which has tested positive for transitional cell carcinoma (TCC) Prostate Cancer. We have done a lot of tests so far to get to this point: Blood tests, X-rays, a BRAF urine test, ultrasounds.
We have gone on trips all over the U.S.: We've taken trips Alaska, Montana, and Maui, to name a few adventures. We also love to go out fishing when we get the chance to get on the water, or in the water in Jericho's case -- he LOVES to swim and fetch sticks throw in the water. He is beloved everywhere we go because he makes every person he meets want to be a better person.
