About this campaign

In 2020, I went to adopt another cat but Jerry chose me with a headbutt. Labeled unfriendly, he just craved attention. Years later, I met Ashley, and Jerry and I joined her and her shy cat, Thea. We rescued Anchovy, a sick kitten, and nursed her to health. She swiftly became Jerry’s best friend. Our patchwork family of rescues is bound by love, and we will do whatever it takes to keep us together.

Jerry always rushed for cuddles, so when he didn’t come, I knew something was wrong. My instincts were right. Anemia from internal bleeding revealed a stomach mass. Epic Specialty and Emergency Pet Care worked wonders, restoring his spark. But the mass was GI lymphoma, and now Jerry faces chemo. We’re fighting for our boy, holding onto every moment of his love, determined to keep him with us.

As far as he is concerned, Jerry exists solely to receive love and attention. His vet calls him “kind of a ho” for craving pets from everyone. Even during treatments and transfusions, he purrs, makes biscuits, and begs for headbutts. When he’s away, Anchovy misses her playmate, moping without him. We cherish every moment of Jerry’s affection, fighting to keep his joyful spirit home with us.

Despite pet insurance, care credit, and savings, Jerry’s emergency vet bills have drained us, with them already passing $10k. With my partner’s new business, we rely on just my income. Now, Jerry’s chemo looms; we’re scrambling to fund it, desperate to save our loving boy.
